Welcome to Zion UCC Stroudsburg

Worship and Fellowship

From the ancient psalmist’s cry, “This is the day that the Lord has made,” to the everyday moments that shape our modern lives,

we gather each Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

to connect Scripture's wisdom to the realities we face today.

Our worship and fellowship blend the beauty of traditional hymns with the energy of contemporary faith, creating a space where timeless truth meets modern hope.

Each service invites you to be renewed, grounded, and inspired to live out your faith in the world around you.

After worship, everyone is warmly invited to stay for fellowship—a time to share conversation and laughter, and to engage in community outreach that strengthens us for the week ahead.

Faith Formation for Young & Old

Zion UCC Stroudsburg warmly invites children and youth to join our Christian Education classes every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Families are welcome to arrive as early as 9:15 a.m., and parents can enjoy some time at the coffee bar while their children are engaged with our caring teachers.

For adults, Pastor Gary leads a friendly Bible Chat on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays at 11:11 a.m., creating a relaxed and inviting space to explore scripture that resonates with both ancient faith and your everyday life.

Community Outreach

At Zion UCC, we put our faith into action through community outreach. Our programs support those in need and make a positive impact in our local community. From food drives to worship and fellowship opportunities, there are many ways to get involved and make a difference year-round, because the need is great and we are called to help one another.

Love your neighbor...every neighbor.

We believe in embracing the marginalized and weary, offering shelter from the storm, and honoring everyone's dignity.

• We host more than 10 addiction group meetings each week.

• We cook meals for families in our town.

• We organize blood drives with the American Red Cross.

• We spend time supporting Street2Feet and other shelters.

• And more...

If you're looking for a space for your support group, let us know.

Be surrounded by history.

Our beautiful, historic building has been a Stroudsburg landmark since its construction in the late 1800s. Our church building is just a half-block from Main Street and features stunning architecture behind the arched oak doors, along with a rich history that stands as a testament to our congregation's enduring faith and dedication.

The sanctuary, with its intricate stained-glass windows and original woodwork, offers a serene and inspiring setting for worship and fellowship. With German Reformed roots, the ceiling trusses look like a cuckoo clock. Over the years, we have lovingly maintained and restored our building, ensuring it continues to serve as a place of worship and community outreach for generations to come.

We ring our bell every Sunday to remind God that we are

joyful for all God's blessings.

Inclusive and Welcoming

We are a welcoming and inclusive community that embraces everyone, regardless of background or belief. Our church provides a safe space where you can explore your faith and receive support on your spiritual path through worship and fellowship. We are dedicated to community outreach, fostering an environment where all feel valued and loved.

Our faith is over 2,000 years old. Our thinking is not.

God is Still Speaking is the identity campaign that uniquely branded the United Church of Christ and helps define its progressive voice within faith communities. The intent is to make religion relevant again and to extend an extravagant welcome to all, which is how we strive to live.

Come see what we're all about, whether you're new to the area, a visitor enjoying the Poconos, or looking for a new church home.
