This covenant was unanimously approved by a Congregational vote following worship on Sunday, June 8, 2025.
Zion Welcomes All
As a congregation, we commit to:
- Embracing and celebrating the richness of our differences, and ensuring that all individuals feel welcomed and valued in our worship, fellowship, and ministries.
- Providing a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can grow in their faith, seek support, worship and pray, and share their gifts and talents with the faith community in service to God.
- Advocating for equity and justice for all people, and standing against discrimination, oppression, and injustice in all its forms.
- Practicing radical hospitality and unconditional love, following the example of Jesus Christ, who welcomed all and excluded none.
- Engaging in acts of service and compassion, both within our congregation and in the wider community, to reflect God's love and grace.
We recognize that this journey requires continuous growth, learning, and commitment. With God's guidance, we pledge to listen, learn, and act with humility and courage as we seek to embody the inclusive and affirming love of Jesus Christ, who called us to be One Body.
In covenant with one another and with God, we joyfully proclaim: Zion Welcomes All.
